The producer, Madhu Mantena of the blockbuster film Ghajini, was detained at the Mumbai airport over swine flu screening. Madhu Mantena had to cut short his trip in London after his cold got worse though it was found to be a just an ordinary flu later.
The producer said, “In the current scenario any man sneezing and wheezing on the street is considered potentially deadly. It's a suspicious world out there. And if you are a brown-skinned sneezer on Oxford Street you're in serious trouble. At the moment a bearded guy with a gun is considered potentially less serious than an ethnic guy with a cold.”
Mantena was taking care of the pre-production work of 1-800-Love in London, when he acquire flu like symptoms and hurried back home, asking the director Abbas Tyrewala to take care of the work. |
