The genius director Vamsi who is known for his classic movies has now wrapped up his latest venture ’Gopi Gopika Godavari’ and there is news that the film is likely to hit the screens this month. This has the tall hero Thottempudi Venu and the sensuous beauty Kamalini Mukherjee in the lead and the music has been composed by ’Tollywood Bappi Lahiri’ Chakri. The film has been produced by Ramesh Valluripalli and as the title indicates, it has been shot on the banks of river Godavari. |

Siddhartha, who had a lover boy image and played hero in several youthful movies like ‘ Bommarillu , Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam’ planned for a change over in his image. He wanted to appear before the audiences in a different character. It is reliably learnt that Siddhartha okayed a storyline narrated by Ravibabu, which was penned on the lines of the Bollywood film ‘Lakshya’ of Hrithik Roshan. It is the story of a youth, who moves irresponsibly without any specific target. His father is a millionaire. In order to change the lifestyle of his son and to force him towards a specific goal, his father joins him in Army. What kind of changes that took place in his life is the basic theme of the movie.’ Siddhartha was very much impressed with the storyline and it is reliably learnt that the hero is trying to develop a six-pack body exclusively for the flick. It is also learnt that he had kept Ameer Khan’s personal physical trainer as his coach for the purpose. The film would be jointly produced by Sunkara Madhumurali and Ravibabu with a whopping Rs 8 crore budget, say sources in Film Nagar. |

Swine Flu has hit the grand plans of the producer of the magnum opus ‘Mallanna’. Kalaipuli Thanu had planned for a grand audio release function. He wanted to bring in 50 Mexican dancers who danced for a song in the film to Chennai and arrange for a live performance. The Swine Flu scare has not put his plans in jeopardy. The swine Flu cases are rising in Mexico and so it is not easy to get visas for the dancers to visit India. Thanu is now trying to bring in some Italian dancers who took part in another song for the film. The audio function will be held in Chennai on May 17. Vikram and Shreya are the lead actors in the film and superstar Krishna has done a special role in the film. |

Director Krish, who won rave reviews and accolades for his debut film Gamyam, has roped in an unusual cast for his next film titled Vedham. This casting coup will be talked about for a long time and it definitely ushers in a new trend in Tollywood. Krish has roped in Allu Arjun, Anushka and Manoj as lead actors in his next film. The actors will not do ‘guest appearances’ but ‘lead roles’ in the film. Anushka and Allu Arjun have not been paired opposite each other. Cinematographer, Jnanashekar, who has handled the camera for Housefull is filming it. |
