As earlier New Moon set photos depict, the cast of this sequel to Twilight is getting along very well.

But pictures can only say so much.

Star Kellan Lutz (who plays Emmett) tells OK! in its latest issue that the on-screen chemistry among the characters exists for a reason.

"It is weird that the minute we all met, it felt like family,” said Lutz. "The first day we got on set, a lot of us felt like we’d always been related.”

Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen) echoes this sentiment, especially when it comes toNew Moon.

“The first one, we all had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We all have our bearings now, and it is more fun and less stressful."

Earlier today, we reported on a source that swears Jon Gosselin is cheating on his wife with Deanna Hummel.

However, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, both halves of this reality TV couple responded to the allegations and appeared to stand by one another (with Kate unable to resist a jab at Jon's judgment, of course).

Jon Gosselin: It's really upsetting. I may be guilty of choosing the wrong time and place to hang out with my friends, but I am not guilty of cheating on my wife. Kate Gosselin: It's disturbing and unfortunate that these tabloids have gone as far as they have to try and bring us down. Jon's poor judgment and irresponsible behavior has also without a doubt caused some added tension and stress between the two of us.

Kirstie Alley Vows Rebound From Extreme Weight Gain

Former Jenny Craig spokeswoman Kirstie Alley may want to get back on that horse. The actress recently put on, oh 10-20 pounds ... give or take 60-70.

When the star - who won an Emmy Award during her seven-year stint on Cheers, but is perhaps better known for her extreme weight gains and losses that followed - stepped on a scale for the first time in 15 months, it wasn't pretty.

"I started screaming," Alley tells People in its new cover story. "It said 228, which is my highest weight ever. I was much more disgusting than I thought!"

But looking back, Kirstie Alley, 58, is hardly shocked.

During her three-year stint as the face (and body) of Jenny Craig, she trimmed down to an impressive 145 lbs. after losing, and keeping off, 75 lbs.

But since parting ways with the company she was so closely tied to in 2007, she had not worked out and banished her gym equipment to the garage.

This celebrity's diet or small, low-calorie portions gave way to Chinese takeout and pasta drenched with butter. "I fell off the horse," she says.

Today, Alley says she is primed to hire a trainer, toss the butter and sign up for a triathlon in order to whittle her "schlumpy" figure back down.

"I'm going to have to work harder than last time," says Allie after candidly admitting she went all Jessica Simpson on us, "but I'm way excited."

Rielle Hunter Wants Paternity Test

As if Elizabeth Edwards' book tour - one seemingly designed only to humiliate John Edwards and Rielle Hunter - the former presidential candidate's furious mistress is demanding he submit to a DNA test, according to National Enquirer.

NOTE: Before discrediting this report based on the source, do recall that it was this very celebrity gossip tabloid that broke the story of his affair - and the possible love child that Rielle gave birth to in February 2008 - in the first place.

When Edwards finally came clean regarding the affair last August, he said the father was his former aide, Andrew Young, and Hunter declared that there would not be any paternity testing on her daughter, Frances Quinn. Quite convenient.

But now, the Enquirer says she wants proof that John Edwards is the father of her 14-month-old love child and is working with a lawyer to take legal action.

The blonde divorcee, 41, has been derided as pathetic in the new book,Resilience, written by the ex-senator's cancer-stricken wife, Elizabeth Edwards.

Rielle's sudden move to determine paternity is a clear signal that she is no longer willing to protect the philandering politician, according to sources. 

Having been thrown under the bus by Elizabeth Edwards in her new book, an enraged Rielle Hunter is apparently trying to take John Edwards down with her.

Edwards is also the subject of a federal investigation into the possible misuse of campaign funds in payments made to Hunter's "production company."

"Rielle - probably naively - now realizes she had held onto a false promise that if she continued to take part in the cover-up John had engineered, they'd be together in the future," a source close to Hunter told The Enquirer.

Of the likely fabrication that Andrew Young is the father, the source adds:

"[Rielle Hunter] was willing to protect John for the sake of the child. She agreed to allow a crony of his to claim publicly that he is the baby's father, and she even kept the name of the father blank on the birth certificate."

"But now she can see there's never going to be a future with John - and she feels he's lied about his promise to keep Elizabeth from trashing her in the book."

"Rielle is so infuriated by his and Elizabeth's actions that she's throwing her loyalty to him out of the window! Rielle wants the paternity of her daughter Frances finally established. She knows it could ruin John for good."

Ruin him how? Quashing a third presidential run?

Seems like he's pretty ruined as is, but why not pile it on? He's still probably lying about the child, after all, and we'd hate to see him get away with that. Seriously, who cheats on their cancer-stricken wife while running for president?

Carrie Prejean is a Liar

Carrie Prejean is entitled to her opinion on gay marriage.

But is she entitled to her version of the truth whenever it helps her avoid a scandal?

Gossip website TMZ - a morally questionable, albeit very trustworthy, source - has obtained an email Carrie sent to Keith Lewis, Co-Executive Director of Miss California USA, in which Carrie references her now-infamous topless photo.

In the electronic letter, Prejean writes:

"This was when I was 17 years old. I was a minor. It was when I was first getting into the modeling world, being naive, and young. I shouldnt (sic) have taken the photo of me in my underwear. There are no other photos of me. This was the only one I took."

Prejean is flat out lying.

Last Sunday, TMZ reports an individual sent it four photos of Carrie half-nude, all similar to the one currently circulating on the Internet. The website did not publish the pics, though, after her rep contacted it and said she was a minor when the shots were taken.

What was Lewis' reaction when informed of Prejean's deception?

"I'm absolutely stunned. This completely changes things for us. Yesterday we thought she had explained things accurately. We need to revisit this issue with her."

Prem calls off Canada shoot due to swine flu

 Kannada director Prem has called off shooting two songs of his film "Raaj" in Canada due to swine flu.

"We had made plans to shoot the songs in Canada. We wanted to capture the beautiful locales of Canada like never before. But now our plans have gone haywire," director Prem, who was all set to fly to Canada with the entire crew in first week of May, told IANS.

Except the two songs, the shooting of the rest of the film is complete.

The shooting of the two songs was delayed because Nisha Kothari was busy shooting for Ram Gopal Varma's "Rann". Now the songs will be shot here with Puneet Raj Kumar and Nisha.

"We shot outdoor and on specially erected sets. We will decide in two or three days whether to shoot the songs in any other part of India or on sets," said Prem.

"Raaj" is being made at a budget of Rs.100 million, which makes it the costliest film to be made in Kannada.

It was launched April last year and was scheduled to hit the screens April 24 this year coinciding with the birth anniversary of Kannada movie icon Raj Kumar. Now the film will be released in June.

The producer, Madhu Mantena of the blockbuster film Ghajini, was detained at the Mumbai airport over swine flu screening. Madhu Mantena had to cut short his trip in London after his cold got worse though it was found to be a just an ordinary flu later.  The producer said, “In the current scenario any man sneezing and wheezing on the street is considered potentially deadly. It's a suspicious world out there. And if you are a brown-skinned sneezer on Oxford Street you're in serious trouble. At the moment a bearded guy with a gun is considered potentially less serious than an ethnic guy with a cold.”  Mantena was taking care of the pre-production work of 1-800-Love in London, when he acquire flu like symptoms and hurried back home, asking the director Abbas Tyrewala to take care of the work.

Bangalore, May 6 (IANS) South Indian film actress and politician Shruthi has filed for divorce from S. Mahendar, her husband of 11 years. She said it was a difficult decision, but an inevitable one due to a "lot of pain" in her married life.

"I had to undergo lot of pain because of many unsavoury things in my married life. But I would not like to discuss these issues in public. I have adduced the reasons for my decision in my divorce petition to court," Shruti, who worked with her hubby in "Gatti Mela", told IANS.

Both Shruthi and director Mahendar are Bharatiya Janata Party leaders. The latter had contested the recently held assembly elections in Karnataka from Kollegal constituency.

Shruthi also said that there were occasions when she had decided to walk out, but didn't take the extreme step because of the compulsions of the family life. The two have a daughter.

"Later both of us joined BJP and even canvassed for the party together. I took on as campaign manager for Mahendar when he contested the assembly elections a few months ago. I was always oscillating between continuing with the relationship and aborting it. Finally I took a decision to part ways with Mahendar," said Shruthi.

Shruthi said that the decision is entirely personal and she has not been influenced by any of her family members or well-wishers.

"Though I had strained relationship with Mahendar, I had consciously decided to keep it with myself. I still hold lot of respect towards Mahendar. But I could not continue with the relationship for long," said Shruthi.

Shruthi, who worked in several Kannada films, won the best actress award from Karnataka government for her performances in "Rashmi" and "Gowdaru" and has been honoured with a Tamil Nadu state award for K. Balachandar directed "Kalki".

CHALOO MOVIE to follow MUNNABHAI route

Munnabhai's first stop was medical world [MUNNABHAI MBBS] and from there he moved to 'Gandhigiri' [LAGEY RAHO MUNNABHAI]. Now film maker Vinod Pandey has been seemingly inspired by Munnabhai as he is planning to make a series of 'chaloo' movies in months to come. While his first film is a take on Bollywood and is titled CHALOO MOVIE, his subsequent movies would be looking at 'chalooness' [in his own words] in the world of sports, science, law and of course medical profession amongst others. 

Says Vinod Pandey whose last release was RED SWASTIK, ''Pick up any area and you would see that 'chalooness' is pervasive in Indian society. This is why through my series of 'chaloo' flicks; I am looking at narrating tales in a comic manner. However, let me add that each of these films would be very 'telling' comedies.''

MMS scandal re-emerges in SALE UP TO 50%

Director Isshaan Trivedi is currently in news for launching RADIO with Himesh Reshammiya. However, not many are aware that the film maker, who has earlier made 71/2 PHERE, has also completed shooting for another film that has been interestingly titled SALE UP TO 50%. The film stars mainly newcomers in the lead with an MMS forming a major part of the narrative. Even though Isshaan explains that the film is mainly about frivolous youth and not so frivolous side of them, he doesn't deny the fact that the MMS scandal does have an important role to play in the film. 

''The hero of the film gets into a bet where he is required to shoot the MMS of a girl with whom he makes love to. However, he is not someone who is wayward by upbringing or nature. Indulging into the activity of shooting a MMS doesn't come naturally to him and he becomes a part of some real dramatic situations'', explains Isshaan about the precarious situation that his leading actor finds himself in.

Produced by Ravi Agrawal (who is also the producer of Himesh Reshammiya's RADIO), the film also stars Manish Chaudhary with Zakir Hussain and Lekh Tandon. The film has music by Bapi-Tutul and would be released in the second half of 2009.

Among the 5 songs in the movie, scored by Isaac Thomas, 3 were screened of which Veerapandi Boomiyile and Varnam Muzhuvadhum proved to be treat to the eyes and ears with their fresh feel. Isaac Thomas is significant with the heart warming music of Adoor Gopalakrishnan movies and has scored for around 5 of the notable director’s movies. While speaking in the event, Balumahendra got nostalgic comparing the movie with the yesteryear classic Azhiyada Kolangal. “I’m sure this movie would be received well by the audience for its treatment of subject about school children,” he asserted before adding that Monica reminds him of the late actor Shoba who played a teacher’s role in Azhiyada Kolangal. Balu also revealed that Isaac was his batch mate at the Pune Film Institute before taking up music as a full time career. Though Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty have had mixed fortunes in the Indian Premier League so far, they have used the platform of IPL to announce to the world their personal style statements. On account of the presence of these three stars during the IPL matches, even the spectators are coming in their finest Sunday dresses and a razzmatazz of colors are on display during the matches in South Africa. In a way, the presence of these three stars has added a particular comparative flavor in the stadium, a contrast of attires between India and South Africa. 

When a film star is present in a sporting arena, it always becomes his or her ground to make his own fashion statement. IPL is no exception, and in the second season Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty are also aggressively marketing their star value apart from channeling their efforts for the cause of their respective teams. Their presence in various stadiums during the course of matches has set the stadiums on fire and it has also prompted the fans to come out in their best Sunday attire to watch the match on the ground. 

Shah Rukh Khan has used the second season of the IPL to aggressively promote the chequered Pathani scarf, also called as fiafa in the Arabic world and by mixing it with a T-Shirt or even a suit he has given this humble scarf a new positioning. Shilpa Shetty is using the IPL to promote raw sensuality and sexuality. Shilpa Shetty's appearance is shot through and through with glamour, passion and a chutzpah, as if IPL is her new arena to does a cat walk. Her ultimate fashion statement came when she sported the off-white hand-woven bund gala that snugly fitted Shilpa's slim waist but remained open at the neck for her team's indigo blue scarf to show, a real head turner, and wonder if the editors at Bazaar and other such fashion magazines took notice of the same. 

Preity Zinta also lives up to the warm persona that she otherwise exudes so she embraces her players with a sense of happiness and overwhelming emotions, which a Shilpa Shetty has not displayed so far. Shilpa has more of a touch me not demeanor and it was manifest at one of the IPL press conferences where she was seen sporting a hat, slim belt and knee-length black sleeveless dress. Is she inviting the international style gurus to have a look at her and use her for future assignments? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure, South Africa would never be the same again after the miasma of fashion unleashed by this trio in the IPL in the second season.

Kareena says that why her name should figure so prominently in write-ups and television stories on Shahid, as she’s already separated with the star.

Shahid has reportedly said “We all know who is interefering in whose life.” Before this, Saif and Karena told they are tired of being linked to Shahid Kapur and would like to be left alone.

Ok, so by now everyone is aware that Vivek Oberoi is doing the role of Paritala Ravi in Ram Gopal Varma's ambitious venture Rakta Charitra. However, there is also an increased curiosity about the actor who would be playing the role of Suri. A real life arch rival of Paritala who allegedly put together a death squad to gun down Paritala in order to avenge his father's and brother's deaths, Suri is presently lodged in Anantpur jail on trial for Paritala's killing.

There have been speculations that Manoj Bajpai has been roped in for the role of Suri. However, Ramu evades the question and plays a wait and watch game. .

"It has not yet been decided that who is going to play the part of Suri. But yes, his character is very integral to that of Rakta Charitra, especially in Part 2 of the film", informs Ramu who is making the film in two parts that would be released in January and April 2010 respectively. .

Revealing a little more about the way the characters of Ravi and Suri would shape up in Rakta Charitra, Ramu says, " Rakta Charitra Part 1 will predominantly deal with Ravi's rise and will end with the Rama Naidu Studio blast and the introduction of Suri. On the other hand, Rakta Charitra Part 2 will feature Ravi and Suri equally." .

While Paritala Ravi is the central character of the film, a man who was a rebel, a feudal lord, a Robinhood, a killer of hundreds and saviour of thousands, Suri isn't any less intriguing. .

"I have been following Ravi's rise to power since long, but I first heard of Suri only after the bomb explosion at Rama Naidu Studios. I was both amazed and chilled to see that even after being confined to a prison cell, how the fire of Suri's vengeance continued to burn unabated for 7 long years till he finally succeeded, armed with nothing but a severe desire to kill Ravi as his one and only weapon. While the whole nation seems to be engrossed with the IPL matches, love-birds Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are far away in USA busy shooting for Rensil D' Silva's untitled film. Bollywood Hungama came across some interesting pictures of the duo on the sets of the film.

From the looks of it, the duo seems to be shooting for some carnival scene, what with all the balloons and festive atmosphere. The US flag can also be seen making it's presence felt as most of the film has been shot in USA. Also one can't help but notice Chhote Nawab and Bebo's chemistry on the sets of the film. The duo seems to be content in each other's company oblivious to the surroundings.

While there have been rumours that the film is titled Jihaad, both director Rensil and producer Karan Johar have denied the same. One will have to wait till the makers announce the title. Apart from Saif and Kareena, Vivek Oberoi also plays an important role in this flick though, he is nowhere to be seen during the filming of this scene.
