Bollywood Gossip : Stories of Freida Pinto’s popularity overtaking that of Bollywood’s reigning queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been rampant ever since the release of multiple Oscar-winner Slumdog Millionaire.

After questions of who out of the two is morebeautiful and more importantly, who is being paid more, now Freida seems to be replacing Ash in yet another way.

Reports say that after the attention given to Freida thanks to Slumdog and her recent international projects, she might be the Indianface on the red carpet of all major international film festival and award ceremonies.

After doing number of films together actor Akshay Kumar come to know much about actress Katrina Kaif which is needed to know. What he knows about theactress is her delicate health that if she stay under water for few hours, it’s clear that she will fall ill.

Recently both of them were shooting a typical rain song for Priyadarshan’s De Dana Dan at Mumbai studio. For the song Katrina was wearing chiffon sari and Akshay was dressed in thin Kurta. But with just a first shot itself Katrina sat shivering on chair. However many retakes done after and then our hero Akshay came into action to help Katrina. He made a round around the set to make sure that not a single air-conditioner is on and requested choreographer Pony Varma and Priyan to take care of her. Later he ordered two big Turkish towels, in one he covered Katrina, while wrapped himself in other. All this Akshay did because he knew that if she stays wet for a long she will get fever the next day. Well he knew this from his past experience (working) with theactress.

Being thankful to her co-star’s gesture, Katrina said, “God, he treats me like a baby.” Something she must know from long, but we know it now only, isn’t it.

Like they launched Anushka Sharma with RNBDJ, Yash Raj Films is set to launch one more female face Shazahn Padamsee alongside Ranbir Kapoor with yet to be named venture to be directed by Shimit Amin. The director claim to fame with his last film Chak De India with YRF productions.

She is a daughter of renowned theatre personality Alque Padmasee and pop singer Sharon Prabhakar. The girl has already walked the ramp before and acted in dad Alque Padmasee’s play Unspoken Dialogues. To grab the role Shazahn gone through auditions conducted by YRF. Previously it was assumed that Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan will act together in the film. But according to reports only Ranbir has been signed for the movie.

Tabu rejects offer from a US university to be a guest lecturer She's a recluse when it comes to signing movies. However, Tabu also doesn't seem to care much when it comes to getting offers for being a guest lecturer. Sources reveal that she recently rejected an offer from a university in New Jersey to be a guest lecturer onIndian films. A source reveals, "Tabu was made the offer a few weeks back. She was invited as a part of the university's curriculum on filmmaking. Tabu contemplated for a few days and even spoke to a few friends. However, she decided not to be part of the plan." The reason for Tabu rejecting the offer is supposed to be the fact that she isn't really good with speaking at public events. "She developed cold feet thinking what kind of questions the students would ask her. Since she's a private person and mostly an introvert, Tabu politely declined the offer." Other actors as guest lecturers: Abhishek Bachchan (Wharton); Amitabh Bachchan (Leeds).

Finally, it has happened, the audio album release of the film ‘Magadheera’ happened amidst huge fan presence. The music for this has been composed by M M Keeravani and the event had all biggies with the likes of Srinu Vaitla, Nagababu, VV Vinayak, Chinni Krishna, Murugadoss, Srikanth, Ravi Teja, Ali, Sunil, Venu Madhav, Meher Ramesh, Dil Raju, Surender Reddy, Bhaskar, Allu Arjun, Allu Aravind, Srihari, Pawan Kalyan and others.

The event was anchored by Suma and almost all of them spoke briefly giving their best wishes to director S S Rajamouli and team.

There were also entertainment programs with Siva Reddy stealing the limelight.

Finally, it was megastar Chiranjeevi who unveiled the album and as usual he took his own time in sharing his feelings without any hassles. He recalled how he was missing the film industry and how he is a proud father today looking atCharan’s improvement and growth as an actor.

Interestingly, many like Paruchuri, V V Vinayak, Rajamouli etc have strongly urged Chiru to get back to films once again and responding to that, Chiru was in his usual neutral mode which got the fans more curious.

The highlight of the film is said to be the horse chasing sequence and also the remix song ‘Bangaru Kodi Petta…’ which also has Chiru shaking his leg for a scene.

The film is due for release next month.
