Woman forced into marriage, raped for 8 months

rapeSonepat: Police today registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against one Lalit an employee of Safdarjang Hospital, Delhi and a resident of Daryapur (Delhi) on the complaint of a young woman of Saraswati Vihar, Sonepat, and started investigations into the woman's complaint about continuous rape for eight months. 

In her complaint, the woman told the police that Lalit, who is her relative, came to her house on August 26 last year and halted for a night there. 

When she was in asleep at night, Lalit managed to come to her room and forcibly raped her after a threat. 

He left her house in the morning and returned after two days. 

She was alone in her house at that time as her parents had gone to the bazar for shopping. 

He again threatened her and took her to Safdarjang Hospital Delhi where she was kept at night. 

Next morning he took her to his house in Daryapur village where she was locked in a room with the help of his parents. 

The woman also alleged that Lalit had forced her to sign on the blank paper after giving a threat to her. 

Lalit also got married to her in a temple and when he used to go for duty she was locked in the room by him. 

However, she managed to escape from his house on May 11 last, and reached Sonepat again.
